what steve said

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

roving happy beaver

The little guy had a great summer accompanying us on our maritime road trips. He's pictured here taking in a spectacular Grand Manan sunrise, kicking back with a good book, and enjoying homemade key lime pie at Magnolias Grill in Lunenburg. Yum.

antlers

I scored this rack from my brother-in-law last year (thanks Charlie), and finally found the PERFECT use for it! It almost feels like a shrine to Keith Richards.

The 3 amigos on the Bouctouche river on the eve of August's full moon. A spectacular day.

collage

Long ago, but not so far away, I had time on my hands. I spent a small fortune on magazines and would cut them to shreds, saving any little object I found inspiring. Here are a few samples of what happened when I put my delightful little objects together.

Here's a link to a slideshow & story featured in the New York Times showcasing Moby's beautiful, restored, mid-century furnished home in Hollywood. The guy's got taste. How I long for such a clutter-free existence!

fall collage

I know I'm lagging, but here's a sweet look back at some beautiful fall days. Each season has its charms, but fall is my favorite. I'm hoping to get my winter collage posted before spring officially arrives. Wish me luck!

the best of summer

Surrounded by so much snow, I've been assembling some of my favorite photos from last summer. They're super cropped & super small, but you get the idea. It's a vast and varied experience in a nutshell. Somehow it all goes beautifully together.

knitting

The gigantic violet scarf is my first finished knit piece! Completed it last month in a couple weeks. Taught myself by following tutorials on YouTube. My usual responsibilities have been seriously neglected since picking up those beautiful bamboo needles. I need daily doses of vibrant color in these short dark days.
